I decided to really try to photograph as many warblers as I can this month. With so many species migrating through and so many types of habitat close by it has been it has been a great challenge so far. Here is where I am as of May 11th.
Chestnut-Sided warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Black and White Warbler
Black Throated Blue Warbler ( FINALLY!)
Oven Bird
Prairie Warbler
Black Throated Green Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Yellow Rumped Warbler

WOW! Are you willing to share some of your sighting spots? I've never seen any of these birds in this area! Thanks so much for posting, Bill. Our biggest thrill has been Rose breasted grosbeaks at the feeder! :-)
Absolutely! Many of these are are taken in random powerlines around Nottingham and Barrington. I like to get there early and listen for them. It take a lot of patience and a sharp eye. Once you detect the flutter in the brush you have to freeze and wait for them to appear. Another great spot is Odiorne SP in Rye, the best spot is on the non ocean side of the road, follow the bike trail. Good luck!
A Baltimore Oriole pair spent the weekend at the feeder feasting on Concord grape jelly and orange halves. Later yesterday afternoon, we were treated to a male Indigo Bunting! It was so exciting that I had to share my "first" with you. :-)
